TAG Heuer pays homage to Dubai with a special edition of its groundbreaking Tourbillon Chronograph.
At the 2023 Dubai Watch Week, TAG Heuer launched a new watch dedicated to the host city of the event: Carrera Tourbillon H02T, using a black PVD titanium case and a carbon speedometer A fixed bezel and unique decorative elements make this limited series stand out. Although it’s another take on a watch that made waves in 2016, with a price tag under €20,000, the TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon H02T Dubai Skyline is still worth a look as it retains its avant-garde appeal and commanding Impressive specs.
Featuring a skeletonized design and a 45mm black Carrera case with carbon fiber and dark ink blue accents on the hour markers and subdial counter rings, the Carrera Heuer 02T Dubai Edition is designed to be a cutting-edge sports watch that is lightweight , 100m waterproof, with unique charm. The anthracite dial has a seconds/minute track on the outer edge. For the chronograph functions activated via push-pieces at 2 and 4 o'clock (blue connectors match other colored elements), use the minute counter at 3 o'clock. At the same time, the elapsed time is measured at 9. All hands, including the central hour, minute and seconds hands, are rhodium-plated. Blue faceted applied hour markers and polished hour and minute hands are treated with Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility.
A blue sapphire window on the case back allows for a partial view of the movement, although it is somewhat obscured by the printed Dubai skyline pattern and centrally located city logo. Powering the watch is a self-winding Caliber Heuer 02T Tourbillon watch with an integrated column wheel chronograph that delivers COSC-certified chronometer accuracy. The tourbillon regulator beats at 28,800vph and the single barrel offers a good 65 hours of power reserve.
The new TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon H02T Dubai Skyline comes on a black alligator and leather strap with a black PVD carbon titanium level 2 folding clasp with double safety pushers and is decorated with the TAG Heuer shield.
